Senior Interior designer job description:* Design Development: 1. Lead the creation of detailed design plans, layouts & complete set of technical drawing documentation. 2. Select materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting to meet aesthetic and functional needs. Team Leadership & Collaboration: 1. Supervise and mentor junior designers, interns, and assistants. 2. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure designs are feasible and executed as planned. 3. Collaborate with project managers/Site managers to ensure timely and budget-friendly project execution. Project Management: 1. Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. 2. Oversee procurement of materials and furnishings. 3. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications. 4. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the construction or installation phases. Vendor & Contractor Management: 1. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors. 2. Negotiate with vendors to secure the best quality and prices for materials. 3. Ensure that contractors and suppliers adhere to project timelines.
