Product Owner & Claim Specialist

Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced (Senior) Claims Specialist and ProductOwner to join our team at Global Organization, India. This role is pivotal in bridging thegap between strategic initiatives and operational execution the insurance market. Youwill collaborate with a diverse team of Claims Specialists, Product Owners, ProductManagers, and Business Analysts from the BMP product area to drive innovation andexcellence in claims management and product development.Key Responsibilities:Product Ownership: Take full ownership of the Product Claims feature team, ensuringalignment with strategic goals and market needs specific to the Indian insurance sector.Ensuring that the development team has a clear and prioritized list of work items thatalign with business objectives and deliver value to customers with quality epics and userstories with clearly defined acceptance criteria’s.Strategic Initiatives: Work under the guidance of senior colleagues to support thedevelopment and execution of strategic initiatives tailored to the Indian insurancelandscape.Product Vision and Advocacy: Build consensus for product vision both internally andexternally, acting as the ambassador for your BMP product area within the context ofthe Indian market.System Integration: Guide the team in implementing requirements that connect variouscore systems like OPUS, BMP, and other third-party systems, ensuring seamlessintegration and functionality.Project Management: Communicate project objectives, plan timelines, and allocateresources effectively to meet the unique demands of the insurance market.Operational Excellence: Contribute to operational processes against agreed standardsand timelines, supporting continuous improvement through innovation and excellence inclaims management.Backlog Management: Manage the backlog by planning work and overseeingcommitted epics, ensuring they align with market needs and business objectives.End-to-End Process Understanding: Understand requirements in the context of end-to-end processes, ensuring they are tailored to the specific dynamics the insurancemarket.Collaborative Action: Support management colleagues when interdependenciesdemand collaborative action and teamwork, fostering a culture of cooperation andshared success.What You’ll Bring to the Role:Insurance Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Indian insurance market, includingregulatory environment, customer behavior, and industry trends.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensusamong diverse stakeholders.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translatecomplex requirements into actionable plans.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with theability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.Project Management: Experience in managing projects, with a focus on timelines,resource allocation, and strategic alignment.Innovation and Improvement: A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with afocus on innovation and excellence in claims management.
