For more details, please visit Role OverviewAn Early Warning System Expert will support the establishment and operationalization of an end-to-end Early Warning System. This includes generating disaster risk knowledge through systematic data collection and risk assessment, hazard detection, monitoring and forecasting, timely and authoritative warning dissemination, and preparedness mechanisms at state, district, and local levels to enable effective response.Roles and Responsibilities:- Lead technical planning and system design for Early Warning Systems based on hazard type, site conditions, and monitoring requirements. - Oversee installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of sensors, data loggers, and communication systems at field locations. - Ensure systems are operationally reliable by validating data accuracy, setting thresholds, and supporting smooth transition to routine operation and maintenance.Locations: Patna, Kohima, Shimla, Agartala, Shillong, Itanagar, Imphal, Aizawl, Gangtok, Lucknow, Dehradun, DispurEducational Qualifications:- Master's in Instrumentation.Skills and Experience:- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in the field. - Experience of working on at least one externally funded project (such as ADB, AFD, WBG, etc.) - Prior work experience across Himalayan regions with exposure to multiple hazards in India, Nepal, Bhutan, etc.Interested candidates may send their CVs along with a cover letter to career-ccs@ with the subject line: Name- Position Applying For- Years of Experience.
