For more details, please visit Role OverviewA Hydrogeologist will be responsible for providing technical leadership in river basin and meteorological studies to support hazard assessment, forecasting, and preparedness planning in mountainous and riverine regions. The role will contribute to improved understanding of hydrological and weather-related risks and support evidence-based decision-making by the competent authorities.Roles and Responsibilities:- Overall responsibility for technical planning, coordination, and execution of river basin and meteorological studies in mountainous and riverine areas. - Lead analysis and interpretation of hydrological and meteorological data to assess flood, extreme rainfall, and weather-related risks. - Provide technical inputs to modelling, assessments, and reports to support early warning, risk-informed planning, and decision-making.Locations: Patna, Kohima, Shimla, Agartala, Shillong, Itanagar, Imphal, Aizawl, Gangtok, Lucknow, Dehradun, DispurEducational Qualifications:- Master's in Civil Engineering/Hydrology.Skills and Experience:- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in the field. - Experience of working on at least one externally funded project (such as ADB, AFD, WBG, etc.) - Prior work experience across Himalayan regions with exposure to multiple hazards in India, Nepal, Bhutan etc.Interested candidates may send their CVs along with a cover letter to career-ccs@ with the subject line: Name- Position Applying For- Years of Experience.
