Job Title: Deputy Manager / Manager – Water Treatment & Zero Liquid Discharge (Solar Cell Manufacturing)Location: Madhya PradeshDepartment: UtilitiesReports To: Head – UtilitiesJob Summary:Lead the water treatment and recycling operations, ensuring ultra-pure water supply for solar cell manufacturing while achieving Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and sustainability targets. Drive process optimization, water conservation, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:- Strategic & Operational Leadership- Manage water treatment plant operations including RO, EDI, deionization, softening, filtration, and ZLD systems. - Plan, execute, and monitor water recycling strategies to minimize freshwater intake. - Develop long-term sustainability and water conservation initiatives aligned with production goals.2.Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Implementation- Oversee ZLD system operations including evaporators, crystallizers, and brine management. - Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and internal sustainability policies. - Identify opportunities for further reduction in wastewater generation and maximize resource recovery.3.Team Management & Development- Lead engineers, operators, and technicians in water treatment and recycling processes. - Implement training programs for safety, SOP adherence, and process optimization. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.- Maintenance & Process Optimization- Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot system issues, and implement preventive maintenance. - Optimize water treatment and recycling processes for energy efficiency and operational reliability. - Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, critical component replacement, and process automation.5.Safety, Compliance & Reporting- Ensure safe handling of chemicals, high-purity water systems, and hazardous streams. - Maintain records of water usage, recycling efficiency, ZLD compliance, and sustainability KPIs. - Drive initiatives for regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and resource efficiency.Qualifications & Skills:- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech / B.E. / M.E. in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: 8–12 years in industrial water treatment with ZLD and recycling experience, ideally in semiconductor, solar, or electronics manufacturing, including 3–5 years in managerial roles.- Technical Skills: - Expertise in UPW systems, water recycling, RO, EDI, softening, filtration, ZLD evaporators/crystallizers. - Strong understanding of water quality, process instrumentation, and sustainable operations.- Leadership Skills: Strategic planning, team leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. - Certifications (Optional): Water treatment, UPW, ZLD operations, Lean/Six Sigma for process efficiency.
