About the roleTap CXM is looking for a senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Product Owner / Architect to act as an in-house AEM expert for one of our key clients. This is a fully remote, India-based contract role where you will guide an ongoing AEM implementation, provide technical and architectural oversight, and support the client’s development teams with hands-on problem solving when required.​Contract duration: Jan 2, 2026 – End of the yearLocation: India-based, fully remoteEngagement: Full-time contract (early joiners preferred)Key responsibilities:Serve as the client’s primary AEM lead and subject-matter expert, overseeing the quality and direction of the implementation.Review and challenge solution designs, architectures and technical approaches proposed by implementation partners to ensure alignment with best practices and long-term scalability.Provide clear technical guidance on AEM Sites architecture including components, templates, content models, workflows, caching and dispatcher strategies.Collaborate closely with hands-on AEM development teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve integration problems and unblock delivery when needed.Define and document how AEM integrates with other enterprise platforms and services such as APIs, identity systems, PIM, and downstream marketing or commerce systems.Advise on and support integrations between AEM and other Adobe products including Workfront, Workfront Fusion, AEM Assets and Adobe Experience Platform, where applicable.Partner with business, marketing and product stakeholders to translate requirements into an AEM roadmap, epics and high-level solutions that are realistic for the implementation teams.Participate in key ceremonies and reviews such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, architecture reviews and release readiness reviews, representing the AEM perspective.Promote AEM best practices, coding standards and governance guidelines across teams, ensuring consistency and maintainability of the platform.Monitor platform health and risks, proactively raising issues and recommending remediation or optimisation opportunities.Required experience and skills7+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager, with at least several years in an architect, lead or product owner–type role.Deep hands-on understanding of AEM Sites including architecture, components, templates, dialogs, clientlibs, workflows, content models and dispatcher and caching concepts.Proven experience overseeing or leading medium to large AEM implementations for enterprise clients, ideally in a distributed or multi-vendor environment.Strong grasp of integration patterns for AEM with external systems such as REST APIs, authentication/SSO, PIM, DAM, marketing platforms and data platforms.Ability to read and review technical implementation details in Java, HTL, JavaScript and related web technologies, even if not coding full-time.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences and influence decisions.Comfortable working independently in a remote setup, coordinating across client stakeholders, partners and offshore development teams.Nice-to-haveExperience with AEM as a Cloud Service and understanding of its operational model and constraints.​Knowledge of Adobe Workfront and Workfront Fusion and how they integrate with AEM Assets to streamline content workflows.Familiarity with AEM Assets and broader DAM concepts including metadata models, taxonomy and asset workflows.Exposure to Adobe Experience Platform or other Adobe Experience Cloud solutions and how they fit into a modern CX architecture.Experience in consulting or client-facing roles within digital agencies or systems integrators.Engagement detailsStart date: Targeting Jan 2, 2026, with a preference for early joiners.Type: Full-time individual contract (not a freelance side project or part-time role).Location: India-based, fully remote with regular collaboration with international stakeholders.​
