NPO AuditPosition Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Audit Specialist to lead and manage audits for Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and Government-funded programs. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and donor/grantor conditions. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting standards, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to management and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and manage financial and compliance audits of NPOs and government-funded programs.Review financial statements, records, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and standards.Assess grant and contract compliance, including adherence to government regulations, donor requirements, and funding restrictions.Identify operational and financial risks and provide actionable recommendations to improve processes and internal controls.Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management, boards, and regulatory agencies.Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies during audits.Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, government regulations, and non-profit reporting requirements.Support the development and implementation of audit policies, procedures, and best practices.Conduct training and awareness programs for staff on compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls.
