Company: Thermaissance Role: Country Manager – Defence Location: Delhi Thermaissance is a deep-tech pioneer specializing in nanotechnology-enabled textiles. We are seeking a high-Caliber Country Manager – Defence to spearhead our strategic growth within the Indian Armed Forces and Paramilitary organizations. This role requires a sophisticated blend of technical literacy, government procurement expertise, and high-level relationship management. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Business Development: Identify and capture large-scale procurement opportunities within the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Paramilitary forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, etc.). - Government Relations & Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership within the Ministry of Defence (MoD), MHA, and specialized commands. - Tender Management: Lead the end-to-end response for government tenders, ensuring all technical specifications and compliance requirements are met with precision. - Strategic Positioning & Advocacy: Articulate the "Thermaissance Advantage" to technical evaluation committees, focusing on scientifically-validated metrics such as $VO_{2}$ Max improvement, thermal stability (from -10°C to 40°C+), and moisture management. - Field Trials & Technical Validation: Coordinate and oversee product trials within specialized units (e.G., Mountain Brigades, Special Forces) to gather performance data and secure technical clearances. - Innovation Ecosystem Engagement: Represent Thermaissance within defence innovation hubs such as iDEX, INDUS-X, and INDUSWERX to align our product roadmap with future defence modernization goals. Professional Qualifications - Domain Expertise: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in defence sales, government procurement, or as a Commissioned Officer within the Indian Armed Forces. - Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in navigating the Défense Acquisition Procedure (DAP) and successfully closing high-value government contracts. - Technical Proficiency: Ability to master and communicate complex fabric science, including nanotechnology applications and physiological performance benefits. - Strategic Leadership: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent defence-specific certification is highly preferred.
