Crystal is expanding its enterprise managed services team to support global Unified Communications (UC) and AV environments for one of its prestigious global clients.About the Role Crystal is hiring anAudio Visual Resident Engineer – L2to be deployed full-time at the Gurugram location of our global client,McCain Foods, through Crystal’s managed services engagement. This is an on-site enterprise support role requiring strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), enterprise AV systems, control systems, DSP/audio engineering, AV-over-IP, and global device lifecycle management. The role involves L2 ownership of incidents, proactive monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and coordination with global L3 teams and OEMs.Role Overview The L2 AV Resident Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise collaboration environments including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Digital Signage, Huddle Spaces, Boardrooms, and Manufacturing KPI display systems. The engineer will operate within a global support model and ensure high uptime (≥99%) across mission-critical executive and manufacturing environments.Key Responsibilities 1. Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) – Enterprise Support Provide end-to-end L2 support for Windows, Android, and appliance-based MTR environments. Troubleshoot complex audio/video issues, peripheral failures, room account sync issues, and firmware conflicts. Manage device lifecycle: enrollment, policy governance, updates, and compliance. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and coordinate L3/vendor escalations.2. Monitoring & Device Management Monitor global estate using: Crestron XiO Cloud Poly Lens Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Portal Ensure firmware compliance and proactive alert resolution. Maintain device health analytics and estate reporting.3. AV Control & Enterprise Systems Design/modify enterprise control systems (Crestron CP4/CP4N – SIMPL, SIMPL+, VTPro). Validate control logic and ensure lifecycle governance. Troubleshoot touch panels, controllers, and automation logic.4. Audio Engineering & DSP Optimization Perform enterprise DSP configuration and acoustic tuning. Handle echo cancellation, gain structuring, and beamforming mic optimization. Configure and validate Dante routing. Troubleshoot amplifiers, microphones, DSPs, and signal chains.5. AV-over-IP & Video Distribution Troubleshoot HDBaseT systems and matrix switching. Manage EDID conflicts and signal integrity issues. Validate AV-over-IP deployments.6. Digital Signage & Manufacturing Displays Support commercial displays and media players. Ensure 24x7 uptime for manufacturing KPI dashboards. Coordinate hardware replacements and field interventions.7. AV–IT Convergence & Networking Work with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS). Validate QoS configurations and 802.1X authentication. Integrate AV systems with enterprise monitoring tools (SNMP/API).8. Governance & Documentation Maintain SOPs, runbooks, KEDB, and reference designs. Contribute to daily/weekly operational reporting. Participate in monthly service review meetings. Drive continuous service improvement and incident reduction.Scope of Support (Global Environment) 350+ Meeting Rooms across NA, EMEANAGB, APACSA & LATAM 800+ Global AV/UC endpoint devices Boardrooms, Executive Rooms, Townhalls, Training Rooms, Huddle Spaces Windows-based and appliance-based MTRs Digital Signage and Manufacturing KPI displays (24x7 environments)Required Qualifications & Experience 2+ years of enterprise AV/UC experience. Strong hands-on expertise in: Microsoft Teams Rooms (Windows & Android) Crestron systems Enterprise DSP & audio engineering AV-over-IP & HDBaseT Digital signage systems Solid understanding of: Windows OS Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS) Enterprise monitoring platforms Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Experience working in executive-facing environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in rotational/global support models.
