Job description About Company It's a large conglomerate in metal & mines business. Position Title: Project Head (Lime Stone Mine) Location Madhya Pradesh Qualification : B.E/B.Tech (Mining Engineering) Experience - Min 15+ years experience in industry with specialized experience in managing independent Head role in a manufacturing set up. Green field project exposure is a must. Job Purpose: To be the profit center head for project with overall responsibility for Over Burden (OB) operations, transport and dispatch of OB, quality management, safety management, R&R, Land possession and implementation of best practices in addition to be completely responsible for all company related governance and compliance aspects and interface with partners / associates. Key Responsibilities: Business Planning - Develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals and direct the company operations to ensure a profitable business. Develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals as per the tender Direct the operational planning process (annual operating plan and budget) for the business unit and implement the strategic initiatives established based on short and long term objectives. Assume full accountability for Profit & Loss of business unit including annual sales and expense budgets (including capital expenditures), and manage the needed results. Manage and ensure implementation of processes within company/SPV, which optimize performance within established business guidelines. Project Planning and implementation - Be responsible for compliance and reporting of company performance Oversee of Project Planning, Budget, MIS and performance reporting. Be responsible for project management from conceptualization to completion of the said company/SPV objectives Ensure design of appropriate systems and process to project manage project and achieve desired level of output. Ensure establishment of individual, team and functional goals which are aligned with the Company/SPVs business strategies and objectives. Monitoring Unit performance: Ensuring production as per plan Ensuring physical possession of land and rehabilitation of PAF's. Review performance reports and take/recommend corrective actions Ensure optimum utilization of resources and cost effectiveness. Mine Management: Oversee design of monitoring mechanisms for ensuring optimum performance of mine including - production, excavation, equipment availability, compliance, dispatch of OB as per schedule, etc. on daily basis. Safety and Environment Management: Support implementation of corporate guidelines regarding safety, training and ensure established best practices are implemented. Oversee Quality Standards as directed. Maintain knowledge of local labor, government, and commercial law requirements to ensure that the Unit is in compliance. Liaison and Administrative Networking: Liaise with all relevant stakeholders including Government, Regulatory Bodies, Local Community Maintain effective channels of communication with decision makers, local leaders of public opinion (elected leaders, sarpanch, mukhiya etc.) Financial Management: Ensure no variance in the budget taken for the financial year Ensure profitability from the project Ensure 100 % compliances on statutory fronts. Responsible for answering the query of central Audits. People Management: Ensure implementation of group systems and policies for effective people management and development Hire, evaluate, manage and motivate all direct reports, build a team with effective two-way communication and a healthy organizational culture Oversee compliance of people related processes
