Each creation reflects a deep reverence for Indian artistry, meticulous handwork, and the divine feminine spirit crafted not as fashion alone, but as legacy.Industry : Couture / Luxury Fashion / Bridal Location: Mehrauli Employment Type : Full-timeRole Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and artistic Hand Embroidery Couture Fashion Designer with a deep understanding of traditional and modern embroidery techniques. The ideal candidate should be able to conceptualize intricate embroidery patterns, develop couture-level detailing, and collaborate closely with artisans (karigars) to produce refined, high-quality handcrafted pieces. This role demands creativity, precision, and a strong understanding of couture construction, fabrics, embellishments, and finishing techniques.Key Responsibilities Design & Concept Development :1. Create original embroidery designs for couture garments, bridal wear, and luxury ensembles. 2. Develop mood boards, themes, motifs, and embroidery storylines for each collection. 3. Sketch detailed embroidery layouts, motifs, borders, and placement diagrams. 4. Innovate with textures, layering, fabric manipulations, and embellishment techniques.Technical & Material Knowledge:1. Select appropriate materials such as zari, resham, pearls, sequins, crystals, stones, beads, silk threads, etc. 2. Create embroidery swatches, samples, and prototypes for approval. 3. Understand various hand embroidery techniques such as zardozi, aari, dabka, resham, cutwork, gota, sequins, mirror work, pita, threadwork, and more. 4. Ensure durability, comfort, and couture-quality finishing standards.Production Coordination :1. Work closely with master artisans and embroidery units to execute designs accurately. 2. Monitor the embroidery process throughout sampling and production stages. 3. Provide clear instructions, technical sheets, and detailed layouts for karigars. 4. Conduct quality checks for neatness, accuracy, weight balance, and finishing.Collaboration & Execution :1. Coordinate with designers, pattern masters, and garment production teams. 2. Assist in fittings to ensure embroidery aligns with garment construction. 3. Contribute to campaign shoots, lookbooks, and collection presentations when required. 4. Innovate and maintain the brand’s couture identity in embroidery design.Required Skills & Qualifications :1. Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Embroidery Design. 2. Strong knowledge of traditional + contemporary embroidery techniques, 5yrs + work experience required. 3. Ability to transform complex ideas into precise embroidery layouts. 4. Skilled in hand sketching, motif development, and design detailing. 5. Understanding of fabrics such as silk, organza, velvet, tulle, raw silk, net, etc. 6. Experience working with luxury couture or high-end bridal brands (preferred). 7. Strong time and project management skills. Personal Qualities :1. Highly creative with a refined artistic eye. 2.
