Computer Aided Design Designer (Wireless Networks)

Job Mode: Remote Job Type : Full-time Working Days: 5 Industry: Telecom About the Company: They are a mobile phone site surveying company working with major UK providers. They attend sites throughout the UK to complete acquisition and scoping surveys for upgrades to sites. What You’ll Do: As a CAD Telecom Designer, you will take ownership of detailed telecom site design packs and manage drawing production from survey input to final delivery. You’ll ensure design compliance, lead drawing standards, and mentor junior designers. - Produce and review 2D and 3D CAD telecom drawings including site plans, elevations, and detailed schematics - Interpret survey data, structural drawings, and client specifications - Coordinate closely with the Head of Design, surveyors, and structural engineers - Review and QA junior designer output - Maintain and refine CAD standards, templates, and layer conventions - Ensure all drawings adhere to operator-specific guidelines (e.G. Vodafone RED, CTILDGN) - Contribute to process improvements and help develop internal documentation What We’re Looking For: - 2+ years of experience in telecoms CAD design (mobile infrastructure). Looking for people from wireless networks only - Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable) - Strong understanding of telecom site components: towers, rooftop installations, cabinets, feeder routes, etc. - Familiarity with UK operator standards (e.G. CTIL, Vodafone, MBNL, Cellnex) - Excellent attention to detail and drawing accuracy - Experience managing or mentoring junior CAD designers - Fluent English communication
