This includes evaluating the gold's purity and value, processing loan applications, managing the gold collateral's security, and ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. The role requires a blend of financial acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and strong customer interaction skills. Responsibilities Gold Appraisal and Valuation: Conduct physical verification and accurate valuation of gold ornaments/articles pledged by customers. Determine the weight, purity (caratage), and market value of the gold collateral. Use gold-testing equipment to ensure accurate assessment and detect spurious or low-purity gold to mitigate risk. Customer Service and Sales: Attend to customers visiting the branch for gold loan services. Explain loan products, terms, conditions, and repayment options clearly and concisely. Assist customers with filling out loan applications and verifying required documents (KYC, etc.). Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth and timely disbursement process (maintaining the TAT - Turnaround Time).
