Shift Engineer

Job Purpose:We are looking for a suitable candidate for our Recovery Department to ensure smooth and efficient operation and maintenance of recovery plant equipment during the shift. The role involves closely monitoring processes, promptly addressing breakdowns, minimizing downtime, improving machine reliability, and ensuring strict compliance with safety norms and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Key Responsibilities: Manage shift maintenance activities for recovery plant equipment (boilers, pumps, evaporators, utilities, etc.). Attend breakdowns and restore machines with minimum downtime. Conduct RCA and implement corrective & preventive actions. Improve MTTR & MTBF through reliability initiatives. Supervise technicians and ensure proper shift handovers. Maintain shift logs, reports, and SAP notifications. Ensure safety, statutory compliance, and 5S practices.Key KPIs: Downtime reduction MTTR & MTBF improvement Maintenance cost control Zero safety incidents 100% SOP complianceQualifications & Skills: BE / B.Tech / Diploma (Mechanical) 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance (preferably Recovery / Boiler / Utility in process industry) Knowledge of MS Excel & SAP Hands-on experience in pumps, valves, motors, PLC troubleshooting
