Planning & Billing Manager for Construction company

Job Description Job Description Position: Planning & QS Manager Location: Project Site / HO (as per project requirement) Role Overview The Planning & QS Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and quantity surveying functions for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role ensures effective cost control, progress tracking, billing coordination, and timely project delivery in line with contractual and organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities Planning & Project Control Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project. Prepare baseline programs, catch-up schedules, and recovery plans. Track project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients. Coordinate with execution, procurement, and billing teams for plan adherence. Quantity Surveying & Cost Control Oversee quantity take-offs, BOQs, and reconciliation of quantities. Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure cost optimization. Review subcontractor bills, measurements, and rate analysis. Support preparation and verification of client RA bills and final bills. Handle variation orders, extra items, and claims in coordination with contracts team. Contract & Coordination Ensure compliance with contract conditions (EPC/HAM/BOT). Assist in claims management, EOT substantiation, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders. Maintain proper documentation and MIS related to planning and QS. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). 10–15+ years of experience in Planning & QS for highways, expressways, or major infrastructure projects. Strong exposure to EPC, HAM, and BOT project models. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and planning tools. Sound knowledge of billing, cost control, and contract management.
