Job Description:

To ensure harmonious industrial relations within the plant by maintaining proactive engagement with employees, unions, and statutory bodies while ensuring compliance with all labor laws and company policies. Maintain cordial relations with trade unions and workforce. Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and disputes effectively. Facilitate negotiations and collective bargaining agreements. Conduct domestic inquiries and manage misconduct cases. Ensure compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, ID Act, Payment of Wages, etc.). Maintain statutory registers, returns, and records. Liaise with government departments (Labour, PF, ESI, etc.) during inspections/audits. Drive workmen engagement and welfare initiatives. Manage canteen and township (colony) activities where applicable. Ensure health, safety, and well-being measures are implemented. Build transparent communication channels between management and workers. Address grievances promptly to avoid escalation. Support in union elections and negotiations. Handle conflict resolution and maintain industrial peace. Prepare IR-related reports and dashboards for management. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all IR records. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Sound knowledge of labor laws. Conflict resolution and people management. Leadership and decision-making ability.
