Job description:Key Responsibilities:Pattern Development & GradingDevelop accurate patterns for men's apparel (e.g., shirts, trousers, jackets, suits, t-shirts, jeans).Modify patterns based on design sketches, technical specifications, and customer requirements.Grade patterns into different sizes while maintaining fit consistency.Garment Construction & FitEnsure patterns align with design intent and production feasibility.Conduct sample fittings and make necessary adjustments for perfect fit and comfort.Work closely with designers and production teams to refine patterns.Technical & Production CoordinationPrepare and maintain detailed technical files with pattern specifications.Ensure patterns are production-friendly and optimize fabric utilization.Collaborate with cutting, sewing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.Fabric & Trims KnowledgeUnderstand various fabrics and trims and their impact on fit and construction.Recommend necessary alterations based on fabric properties (stretch, shrinkage, drape).Software & Manual Pattern MakingCreate patterns using manual methods and CAD software (Optitex, Gerber, Lectra, or any relevant software).Digitize and modify existing patterns to enhance efficiency.Quality Control & ComplianceEnsure patterns meet quality standards and production tolerances.Maintain accurate records of pattern versions and modifications.Follow industry standards and compliance requirements.Key Requirements:Education: Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or Textile Technology.Experience: Minimum 5+ years in pattern making for men’s apparel.Skills:Proficiency in manual and digital pattern making.Strong understanding of garment construction, draping, and grading.Knowledge of men's wear fitting and sizing standards.Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical pattern issues.Experience with CAD software like Gerber, Lectra, or Optitex (preferred).
