B. About the Role: We seek an experienced professional with over 8 years of experience in commercial operations of power distribution including meter to cash cycle, AT&C Loss reduction plan, Metering, etc. S/He shall utilize her/his expertise in taking lead in assignment execution, client relationship management, team mentoring and business development activities under the Management Consulting vertical.The ‘Manager – Management Consulting’ is a mid-level position in the Company, and shall be a part of the dynamic, high performing team within our ‘Management Consulting’ division. The Manager – Management Consulting will be a Commercial Expert, and will report to the Director – Management Consulting.C. Detailed expectations from the role: The Manager– Commercial Expert will be reporting to the Partner/ Project Director, the key (broadly indicative) expectations shall be as below:Conduct in-depth analysis of Metering, Billing, and Collection processes at the discom level, identifying areas of financial losses.Devise Management Information System (MIS) formats for M-B-C functions, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets for field officers.Appraise management on monthly target achievements and variations, suggesting efficiency improvements.Develop a PMF to monitor operational objectives such as AT & C loss reduction and ACS/ARR gap elimination.Conduct Pareto analysis to identify divisions with high energy input versus distribution losses.Provide monthly rankings of divisions/zones based on operational performance.Identify circle-wise and consumer category-wise issues, offering recommendations for improvement.Formulate loss reduction strategies based on best practices from other states.Assist in developing circle-wise Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plans, prioritizing implementation based on return to company analysis.Identify and Finalize circle wise revenue and cost indicators and develop performance ranking system Support in preparation of Cost of Supply at Circle level and accordingly prepare circle wise profit and loss statements.Devise plan for circle wise recovery of arrears and revenue protection processes in rural and urban areas.Support Distribution companies in data analytics and meter data verification for high-value HT consumers.Provide inputs for enforcement division to identify losses and prevent revenue leakages.Support in developing arrear recovery plans and monitoring arrear recovery activities.Assist in various commercial aspects such as automatic compensation rules, electric vehicle-related matters, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), piloting new technologies under Smart grids, and devising micro grid frameworks.Support in competitive bidding processes, including bid evaluation for MNRE Rooftop Solar Systems.Analyze and advise Distribution companies on amendments in Electricity Act, Regulations, Policies, and Guidelines issued by MNRE and other authorities.Assist in filing petitions related to Rooftop Solar Systems before regulatory bodies and legal forums.D. Required skill set Should have Demonstrated proficiency in commercial operations within the electricity distribution sector, with a deep understanding of billing, metering, and collection frameworks.Ability to conduct thorough financial analysis to identify areas of financial losses and inefficiencies within M-B-C functions.Should be able to mentor the locational team by building cohesive environment and providing on-job training to the team members.Should be able to generate new business leads and opportunities by building client relationships, identify business opportunities from new and existing clients, write and cost project proposals, make verbal and written client presentations and conduct appropriate follow-up to secure the business.Should be able to plan, manage and carry out assignments, making optimum use of company resources and achieve high levels of client satisfaction. Should possess strong set of techno-commercial competencies, thought leadership and people leadership, client focus and relationship.Should be able to do multi-tasking on assignments, undertake business development responsibilities, financial appraisal, performance monitoring, and be able to deliver in typical fast-paced consulting environment.Strong written and oral communications skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal skills to manage both internal as well as external stakeholders.Excellent ability to work independently and as part of a team.Should be proficient in data analysis and presentation tools.MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel and Power Point).Expertise in power distribution business.E. Education and Experience Relevant work experience of over 8 years.BE/ B. Tech (Electrical/Electrical and Electronics and MBA (Finance/Power/Energy).Experience of handling multiple assignments in commercial aspects of power distribution including meter to cash cycle, AT&C Loss reduction plan, Metering, etc.Experience in conducting financial analysis to identify areas of financial losses and inefficiencies within Metering, Billing, and Collection (M-B-C) functions.Experience of guiding, managing and leading teams maintaining strict timelines.Experience in developing and implementing performance measurement frameworks (PMF) to monitor operational objectives and track progress towards organizational goals.Proficiency in data analysis and experience in developing Management Information System (MIS) formats to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.Devising arrear recovery and revenue protection strategy.Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in Chhattisgarh.F. Location Base location shall be Raipur, Chhattisgarh. However, the role would require the applicant to undertake travel for pursuing various opportunities. G.
