OT Technician

Position: OT Technician Institute: NET- NMCH & RC Location: Raichur Karnataka About The Role: The OT Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre environment, ensuring the availability and functionality of equipment, assisting during surgical procedures, and maintaining strict infection control standards. Supporting surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff in delivering safe and efficient patient care in an acute care setting. Key Responsibilities:  Prepare OT as per scheduled cases and maintain sterile environment.  Ensure all surgical equipment and instruments are available and functional.  Operate OT equipment such as C-Arm, laparoscopic systems, microscope, monitors, etc.  Provide intra-operative technical support to surgeons and assist anaesthetists when required.  Shift patients to recovery and assist in positioning and monitoring.  Report and coordinate repair of malfunctioning equipment with concerned departments.  Maintain inventory, stock register, and ensure availability of consumables.  Follow infection control policies and hospital safety protocols.  Be available for shifts and emergency/on-call duties. Skills & Competencies  Strong knowledge of OT protocols and sterile techniques  Technical proficiency in handling surgical and diagnostic equipment  Ability to respond effectively during emergencies  Good coordination and teamwork skills  Attention to detail and high level of responsibility  Good documentation and reporting skills Qualification:  Diploma/BSc in Operation Theatre Technology(DOTT/BOTT)  1–3 years of experience in a hospital OT setting
