Script Writer (Long Form Video)

As a Long-form Video Scriptwriter, you will be responsible for developing compelling, structured, and engaging scripts for long-form video content such as brand stories, documentaries, corporate films, YouTube shows, interviews, and explainer videos. You’ll work closely with creative directors, video editors, and clients to bring narratives to life in a way that educates, entertains, and resonates with audiences. Key Responsibilities: Research, ideate, and write scripts for long-form video content (5–30 minutes). Understand client objectives and tailor scripts to meet communication goals. Create engaging storytelling arcs that hold audience attention throughout. Collaborate with directors, editors, and designers to ensure scripts align with visual and audio elements. Adapt writing style for different platforms (YouTube, branded films, corporate communications, etc.). Conduct interviews/research when needed to ensure authenticity and accuracy. Revise and edit scripts based on feedback from clients and internal teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in scriptwriting, particularly for long-form video content. Strong storytelling, research, and writing skills. Ability to simplify complex information into engaging narratives. Familiarity with YouTube content trends and digital storytelling formats. Excellent command over written English and creative thinking. Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects. Good to Have: Experience writing for YouTube channels, podcasts, or branded web shows. Understanding of SEO and audience retention strategies.
