Job Summary – Senior Delivery Manager We are seeking a senior, results-driven Senior Delivery Manager to provide strategic and execution leadership for large-scale, complex technical programs spanning multiple teams, platforms, and geographies. This role owns portfolio-level delivery accountability, ensuring predictable, high-quality execution aligned with business strategy, financial objectives, and long-term technology roadmaps. The Lead Delivery Manager will operate as a trusted partner to executive leadership, driving delivery excellence across the organization through strong governance, technical insight, stakeholder influence, and continuous improvement. This role requires deep experience managing delivery at scale, leading senior leaders, and navigating ambiguity in complex technical environments. Key Responsibilities 1. Portfolio & End-to-End Delivery Leadership Own end-to-end delivery accountability for a portfolio of complex, multi-year technical programs and initiatives. Translate enterprise business strategy and product vision into integrated delivery roadmaps, execution plans, milestones, and release strategies. Drive portfolio-level prioritization, sequencing, and trade-off decisions to balance scope, timelines, cost, and quality. Ensure delivery predictability and execution rigor across all programs through disciplined planning, tracking, and governance. Establish clear success metrics, KPIs, and outcome-based delivery measurements across initiatives. Proactively identify execution risks, systemic dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks; lead mitigation and recovery strategies. 2. Cross-Functional & Global Delivery Execution Provide delivery leadership across multiple cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, Data, and Platform teams. Oversee delivery across globally distributed teams (North America, India, and other regions), ensuring effective coordination, handoffs, and follow-the-sun execution. Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to resolve capacity, prioritization, and technical constraints impacting delivery. Drive alignment and accountability across senior managers and team leads without direct authority. Facilitate and govern key delivery forums including portfolio planning, execution reviews, dependency management, and retrospectives. Build and sustain a culture of ownership, accountability, and delivery excellence at scale. 3. Executive Stakeholder Management & Communication Serve as the single point of accountability for delivery health, risks, and outcomes across assigned portfolios. Build strong, trusted relationships with VPs, Directors, Product Leaders, Engineering Leaders, Architects, and Executive stakeholders. Deliver clear, concise, and data-driven executive communications, including dashboards, operating reviews, and leadership readouts. Communicate risks, trade-offs, and delays early, along with actionable mitigation and recovery plans. Translate complex technical execution details into business-impact narratives for non-technical stakeholders. 4. Technical & Architectural Delivery Oversight Apply deep technical understanding to assess feasibility, sequencing, delivery risks, and architectural trade-offs. Partner closely with Architecture and Engineering leaders to validate solution designs, technical dependencies, and delivery approaches. Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and deliverable within timelines. Act as a senior escalation point for delivery-impacting technical issues, driving rapid resolution. Ensure delivery aligns with engineering standards, quality expectations, security, and platform best practices. 5. Delivery Governance, Operating Model & Continuous Improvement Define and own delivery governance frameworks, operating rhythms, and execution standards across the portfolio. Establish and monitor delivery metrics, health indicators, and performance dashboards. Identify systemic delivery challenges and lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase predictability, velocity, and quality. Champion Agile, SAFe, and hybrid delivery models, adapting frameworks to organizational needs. Drive maturity in delivery management practices, dependency management, and cross-team collaboration. Ensure high-quality documentation for delivery plans, risks, dependencies, and execution status. 6. Financial Management, Capacity & Resource Planning Own portfolio-level financial oversight, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance management. Partner with Finance and Executive leadership on investment planning, capacity forecasting, and hiring strategies. Ensure programs are delivered within approved budgets while meeting business objectives. Optimize resource allocation and team capacity to maximize delivery efficiency and ROI. Identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising delivery quality, timelines, or technical integrity. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 15+ years of experience in delivery management, program management, or large-scale technical execution. Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale, multi-team, multi-year technical programs. Strong technical background with hands-on understanding of cloud platforms, data platforms, software development lifecycles, system architecture, and DevOps. Extensive experience working with globally distributed teams. Prior experience operating at Director / Senior Manager level or equivalent delivery leadership roles is strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies Delivery & Portfolio Leadership: Expertise in large-scale execution, dependency management, and delivery governance. Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of cloud, data platforms, APIs, microservices, and modern engineering practices. Agile & Scaled Frameworks: Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models at scale. Executive Communication: Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior and executive stakeholders. Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform and business goals. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical mindset with decisive, outcome-driven leadership. Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead senior stakeholders and teams without direct authority. Tools: Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, or similar portfolio and delivery tools. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Delivery Predictability: Portfolio-level on-time and on-scope delivery performance. Financial Management: Accuracy of forecasting and adherence to approved budgets.
