You can read more about its work at .Role Overview: The Technical Specialist - Bamboo Plantations will provide expert technical guidance for plantation programs, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices. This role will address field-level technical queries, support capacity building of SRLM and field teams, and monitor plantation quality across the state. The position is key to ensuring program objectives are achieved efficiently and in compliance with established technical standards.Education: Master’s in forestry / any other relevant fieldsPast Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience working on field-based projectsLocation: Odisha, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh & Arunachal PradeshLanguage(s): Proficiency in English, Hindi, and a regional language, with good writing and verbal communication skills.Key Responsibilities:1. Provide technical guidance and expertise on plantation programs, ensuring adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).2. Support the planning, executing, and monitoring of plantation and post-plantation activities across the state.3. Address technical queries and provide solutions to field teams and SRLM staff.4. Conduct regular field visits to assess plantation quality, address technical issues, and ensure best practices are followed.5. Facilitate training sessions and capacity-building workshops for SRLM teams at state, district, and block levels.6. Collaborate with Program Specialist and other stakeholders to integrate technical insights into planning and reporting.7. Document technical processes, observations, and recommendations for continuous improvement and reporting purposes. Skills 1. Strong knowledge of plantation practices, forestry, horticulture, or related domains2. Experience in conducting training, workshops, and capacity-building programs3.
