Fire Protection Specialist

Key Responsibilities:Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, International Building and Fire Codes IBC/IFC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Saudi Building Codes.Develop fire and life safety strategies and design solutions in compliance with local and international codes and standards.Attend meetings, workshops, and presentations with clients and authorities to present and discuss the fire and life safety strategy of the project.Review architectural layouts and provide comments/markups to ensure compliance with code requirements.Provide fire zoning, occupant load and capacity of means of egress calculations, travel distance to exits and protection of vertical openings.Prepare fire and life safety submissions to Civil Defense.Negotiate with reviewers and authorities for approval on fire safety designs and proposals.Provide mentoring, technical guidance and training to junior fire and life safety consultants.Requirements and Qualifications:An accredited bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related engineering field.Minimum 8 years of relevant Fire and Life Safety experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Ability to independently undertake and lead fire and life safety projects.Proficiency in CAD and Revit softwar
