You will have an opportunity to be a key figure with strategic insight and drive direct tactical actions in the India Market. The Head of Sales will lead all the activities of the India field sales team. These activities include, but are not limited to, operations, sales, and product training. The Employee shall provide leadership and direction and motivation to all field sales employees to ensure the continued growth and profitability of the Company. They shall have thorough knowledge of the departmental duties of the rest of the business and the products the Company promotes. The employee will ultimately be responsible for the sales, product and financial performance of the outside sales team and will deliver the budgeted sales for his territory.*Experience managing sales team and selling into the Defense, Energy, Commercial Air, Electronic Manufacturing, Rail Mass Transit would be highly valued. ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)To develop and implement, in conjunction with Country Manager, Regional Sales Director and relevant departments, strategic and tactical plans to achieve Company and sales goals.To work with the field sales team and customer base at all levels and disciplines to gain a full understanding of future purchasing needs and market trends. To work with Country Manager , India Product management in performing analysis of customer purchases to determine a future sales and product strategy for the territory.To prepare and submit to the Country Manager, India an annual sales budget for the territory.To monitor continuously actual sales against budgeted sales and review/analyze with the Country Manager, India on a routine basis.To develop and implement strategic, marketing and tactical plans for the field sales team incorporating any specific company, market or product initiatives as requested.To ensure that all employees for whom the Head of Sales, India is responsible, receive adequate training and all necessary tools to enable them to carry out their job function. To maximize sales results through effective management of the field sales force, ensuring that sales and GP budgets are met along with targets relating to new customers accounts and sales by product.To work closely with the India inside sales team, APAC Inside Sales Director, global functions team to ensure that there is a smooth flow of information and complementary activity to maximize sales opportunities and sales fulfillment.To respond with a sense of urgency to any request or issue and provides information and/or resolution in an expeditious manner.To interact with all internal and external customers and/or contact in a friendly, timely and helpful manner.To promote corporate vision among the field sales force to encourage teamwork, high performance, quality customer service and good business ethics.To keep the company informed of competitor activities, industry trends and new ideas to further enhance market share.To drive the use of Company CRM software system within the team to ensure that information on contacts, leads, prospects and opportunities is constantly updated and that individual funnels are managed in a way so as to maximize the conversion of business opportunities.To ensure that all customer visits, where action is required to be taken or information has to be imparted, are adequately reported using the standard company format. (Company CRM software)To be aware of all significant quotations in the region and report the outcome or amending action needed to the Country Manager , Regional Sales Director, internal salesperson and / or product manager where appropriate by utilization of the quotation follow-up system. To drive the use of the quotation follow-up system throughout the sales team.To facilitate the organization of any trade exhibitions to be attended within the region.To visit trade shows within the region and capture any business opportunities and channel these back to the marketing and sales teams for follow-up.To build relationships with our key suppliers in order to gain favor in terms of information, competitive pricing and referrals.
