Job Description:
JOB PURPOSEResponsible for developing Varroc production system (VPS) by developing, revising, and standardizing SOPs for operations domain. Track and coordinate the progress of different SOP development, with cross functional teams. Responsible for tracking the progress of various Strategic initiatives in Operations, high impact plant improvement projects in plants. Interact with operations team, CI teams to ensure execution of Ops strategy to improve manufacturing effectiveness. Conduct workshops, clarify doubts of CFT members on new initiatives as per OpEx strategy and guideline of group OpEx and sustainability head. Compile the learnings of different initiatives to convert into Varroc standards and use as input for revising the Ops strategy.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Functional Planning and ImplementationDevelop strategic activities plan and get it approved from group OpEX head for different region units in line with the Ops strategic plan aligned and approved by EC.Led strategic initiatives to develop Varroc Production System exclusive for Varroc business and get it approve from Group OpEx head.Identify the list of SOPs need to develop, revised to have standard operating method across the businesses, plantsVerify the base line data of all the business units for strategic imperatives defined for the operations and get aligned with regions teamsWeekly review with business core team for effective execution of imperatives and find area of concerns and give in put for OpEx head and Regional heads review.Participate in benchmarking process for strategic imperatives with CFT.Prepare the Deck for OpEx strategy to fortnightly review with OpEx strategy lead and champion.Participate in target setting and budgeting exercise of with BU Operations head, Plant Heads and Corp BU CI Leads.Resource planning via MOST study and get approval from management as per business requirement change or additional initiatives kicked off by management.Drive Value Stream Mapping (VSM) techniques to analyze and optimize end-to-end processes2. Strategic InitiativesLead deployment of SIPOC tools to understand the quality and need of standard operating procedures in operations.Develop & time to time revise the Varroc Production system.Spearhead the manufacturing digitalization, business process automation projectsReview the work element wise difference with respect to job description of UJRs and understand the reason of variations.Recommend the next action based on the reason of differences in JD vs actual work elements.List out most use data points and align with digitization teams to democratize the critical data points through digitalization.Approve the workstation design of different type of products, processes based on ergonomics standards, and other ergonomic guidelines including operator versatility & MultiskillingTrack the key milestones with imperative project leads and update to group OpEx head for intervention to ensure timely resolution. Additionally estimate or update project budgets from strategic initiativesApproving the required standards and objectives for cell and plant lay out along with developing standards for the sameBuild Industrial Engineering Culture through trainings, engagements and deployment of toolsLead the CFT for defining the ergonomics standards based on ILO or industry best practicesDrive culture of improve cost losses and finalize the improvement projects.Engage with the core team members for integrating the BD1 business processes with BD2 or other emergent projectsWork with Corp IT team to develop digital technology adoption road map in manufacturing.3. Cost savingSupport cost reduction and ROCE improvements through the implementation, monitoring and tracking of high impact projects identified from cost loss other than OEE or as defined by group OpEx head.Define or revise the standard operating procedure to sustain the actions identified through cost losses.4. People developmentParticipate in recruitment process to identify the right talent across positions within the organizationGuide and mentor young talent GET within the organization; motivate and engage them to ensure they leverage their ambition to add value to the organizations goalsTrain plant teams on different aspects of efficient manufacturing practices through custom Varroc systems, lean and Kaizen practices etc.Identified the training needs and coordinate with the business HR as per requirement of new initiativesImpart the training on his area of strength (As SME) to support internal talent and competency developmentQUALIFICATIONMinimum Qualification required: BE / B.Tech (Full-time)Preferred Qualification: ME / M.Tech / MBAWORK EXPERIENCEMinimum 12 to 15 years of experienceKnowledge in manufacturing industry environment (Automotive Preferred)Prior experience in Smart Factory, Lean, TOC, Toyota Production System & Industry 4.0, Digital Twin is preferredOutstation Candidates will have to RE-LOCATE to PUNE and will be eligible to avail benefits under the Relocation Policy.
