Senior Intellectual Property Counsel

Job DescriptionJob Title: Inhouse IP Counsel – Mobile Security & Electronic Payments.Location : Pune, India. Your Responsibilities: • Provide strategic and operational support for intellectual property matters across the business units focused on Mobile Security and Electronic Payments.• Through own work and in collaboration with our external agent ensure we achieved high quality and assertable IP rights by drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications.• Manage and maintain the company’s IP portfolio in India and support global IP activities in coordination with the corporate IP department.• Conduct patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP risk evaluations.• Advise internal stakeholders on IP-related legal and strategic issues, including licensing, partnerships, and third-party rights.• Monitor competitor IP activities and support enforcement actions when necessary.• Liaise with external patent attorneys and legal counsel, as well as with international colleagues within the organization.Group.Your Profile: • Degree in engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related technical discipline. • Qualification as a registered Indian Patent Agent; legal background or law degree is a plus. • At least 5 years of experience in intellectual property law, preferably in an in-house role within a technologydriven company. • Solid understanding of technologies related to Mobile Security, Smartcards, Payment Systems, and Cryptography. • Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.What We Offer: A key role in shaping the IP strategy of a leading international technology company.Exposure to cutting-edge innovations in digital security and payment technologies.Competitive compensation and career development opportunities.A collaborative and inclusive work culture in our Pune office.Application: Please submit your application including your earliest possible starting date and salary expectations .
