For more information, please ceptionai.aiRole Overview The Data Engineer at Inception is responsible for building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that enables reliable data collection, processing, and storage. The role focuses on developing data pipelines and architectures that support AI, analytics, and enterprise data use cases.This role is a full-time position based in India (remote). Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and machine learning use cases • Develop robust ETL/ELT processes to ensure high-quality, consistent, and reliable data flows • Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure accessibility for data science and business teams • Design and optimize data storage solutions across relational, NoSQL, and search-based systems • Develop APIs and data services to enable data access, sharing, and integration • Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and governance frameworks • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to support model development and deployment needs • Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions where required • Maintain data documentation including schemas, pipelines, and architecture diagrams • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance standardsQualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Experience in data engineering, including pipeline development and data architecture • Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages (Python, Java, or Scala) • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Flink) • Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL processes • Experience with cloud platforms and distributed data systems • Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) and containerizationThe successful candidate will be engaged via an external workforce partner in line with Inception’s operating model in the region.
