Senior Database Engineer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Database Engineer / DBA with 8+ years of experience to design, support, and optimize modern cloud-native and NoSQL database platforms. The role focuses on Azure Cosmos DB (multi-model), MongoDB, and AWS database services, supporting high-availability, scalable, and secure enterprise workloads.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide production support for Azure Cosmos DB (Core SQL, Mongo API, Cassandra API, Table API), MongoDB, and AWS databasesDesign, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable cloud database architecturesPerform performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimizationManage backup, restore, disaster recovery, and geo-replication strategiesTroubleshoot complex database and application performance issuesImplement and enforce security, encryption, access control, and compliance standardsWork closely with application, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure teamsParticipate in incident, problem, and change management processesAutomate database operations using scripting, IaC, or cloud-native toolsProvide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineersRequired Skills & Experience8+ years of overall database experience in enterprise environmentsStrong hands-on expertise with Azure Cosmos DB (multi-model)Strong experience with MongoDB (replica sets, sharding, performance tuning)Experience with AWS database services, such as:Amazon RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)Amazon AuroraDynamoDBAmazon Redshift (nice to have)Deep knowledge of HA/DR, scaling, monitoring, and performance optimizationExperience with cloud security best practicesStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
