Back End Developer

As a Software Development Engineer II – Backend (Java / Spring Boot), you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend services using Java and the Spring Boot framework. This role is focused on developing production-grade, distributed systems that handle high traffic with strong reliability and low latency.You will own backend components end-to-end, from feature low level design, API design and service implementation to deployment, and monitoring. Working closely with product managers, data engineers, and platform teams, you will translate business requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable Java-based solutions. You are expected to contribute to architectural decisions, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers while ensuring system stability and performance.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance servicesOwn feature development from design to production rollout with minimal supervisionParticipate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisionsMentor SDE-I and junior engineers, providing guidance on design, coding, and best practicesIdentify and resolve complex production issues with a strong focus on root-cause analysisCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time and with high qualityBalance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environmentCreate and maintain technical documentation, design notes, and runbooksRequirements:3-7 years of relevant experience in software developmentStrong command over Data Structures, Algorithms, and problem-solvingHands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building scalable backend servicesExperience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching (Redis, Ehcache), and search technologies (Elasticsearch)Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systemsExperience working in Agile / Scrum environments with strong exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD)Good understanding of deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and production monitoringProficient in code versioning tools such as Git or SVNStrong ownership mindset, ability to work independently, and make sound technical decisions
