This role involves developing, maintaining, upgrading various modules of application including technologies such as GeoTools, GeoServer, PostGIS database, REST services, OAuth 2.0 and developing Geo-spatial data pipelines.Key Responsibilities:Writing clean and efficient codeDesign, develop, and maintain back-end services, APIs and front-end to deliver seamless user experience.Create and optimize database schemas, manage data models, and handle data processing tasks.Integrate with PostgreSQL and PostGIS for spatial and non-spatial data management.Upgrading version of various dependencies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of back-end systems.Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain code quality.QualificationsMaster or Bachelor's degree in Engineering7+ years’ experience as Java DeveloperExpertise in FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, FastMCP and object-oriented programming for developing enterprise-level applicationsStrong understanding of using PostgreSQL/PostGIS database and data modelingStrong understanding and implementation experience with micro-services architectureProficiency in software development best practices, design patterns, and scalable solution designAbility to lead technical teams effectively and deliver robust technical solutionsKnowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and relevant tools is a plusPrior experience in developing GIS application is an advantagePersonal TraitsSolution-oriented approachProactive and smart problem solverAbility to work independently with minimal inputGrow mindset and fast learnerBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects.Collaborative and innovative work environment.Professional growth and development opportunities.How to Apply:Send your resume and a cover letter to hr[at] with the subject line /"Python Backend (GIS)/"Do not apply if you don't meet the required qualification
