Job Description:
Network Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve issues across Ethernet, fiber, and wireless networks. Optimize network performance through regular maintenance and configuration adjustments. Installation and System Upgrades: Deploy and configure a variety of network equipment, including but not limited to routers, switches, WAPs (Wireless Access Points), and ensure their compatibility within ethernet, fiber and wireless frameworks. Comprehensive Cabling Solutions: Execute expert installation, management, and troubleshooting of cabling infrastructures, including copper for Ethernet networks and fiber optics for high-speed connections, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability. Wireless Network Expertise: Implement and manage wireless networking solutions, including the setup of WAPs, ensuring secure and efficient wireless connectivity across data centers. Documentation and Process Improvement: Support documentation of network setups, configurations, and optimizations. Continually assess and recommend improvements to network install area, cabling, and other infrastructure setup. Collaboration: Collaborate with NOC and network engineering teams to troubleshoot, deploy and enhance operational efficiency. "Requirements: 2-3 years of experience in a data centre technician role or similar, with a portfolio showcasing previous projects. • CCNA or equivalent network certification. • Own set of tools including a laptop, hotspot, and personal protective equipment (PPE). • Basic computer skills with the ability to provide IT support and troubleshoot network issues. • Familiarity with data centre environments and in-depth knowledge of servers and network equipment. • Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and communicate effectively with staff and clients. • Flexible availability, including willingness to respond to issues after hours as needed. • Must possess exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures. • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to document network processes and maintain detailed event logs.
