Job Title: AS400 Administrator (LPAR & Storage Specialist) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced AS400 (IBM iSeries) Administrator with strong expertise in LPAR life cycle management, HMC, Storage, and SAN replication . The role involves managing AS400 environments across multiple sites, ensuring system stability, replication, and smooth go-live transitions. Key Responsibilities Manage LPAR life cycle – creation (via media/templates), import, clone, deploy, migrate, start, shutdown, and delete. Create and configure server pools and manage servers on Power systems. Perform basic setup & firmware updates for IBM i, HMC, Storage, and SAN switches. Document vWWPN mappings to corresponding LPARs. Implement SAN zoning, mapping, and storage replication between data centers (e.g., VGJ ↔ RDC Singapore). Support test environments on Power9 and AS400 systems. Conduct regular data replication checks and align with network teams for smooth replication. Prepare and execute infrastructure test procedures, dress rehearsals, and go-live activities (including outside normal business hours). Adapt and update operations, monitoring, and administration processes for new environments. Research and share insights on current vs. “To-Be” AS400 environment design. Provide SOPs/manuals for AS400 restoration and recovery . Required Skills & Experience 6–12 years of experience in AS400 / IBM i Administration . Hands-on expertise with LPAR management & HMC .
