Job descriptionThe Payroll Specialist will work and report to the finance and accounts teams where theywill be required to provide ongoing support to manage all aspects of payroll execution.The Payroll Specialist will be instrumental in maintaining strong relationships withemployees, finance departments and external stakeholders such as tax authorities andregulatory bodies. They possess in-depth knowledge of payroll systems, accountingprinciples, Indian labor laws and taxation requirements.Roles and Responsibilities:Checking the number of hours employees have workedCalculating wages and salariesPreparing data for bank files.Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee dataCalculating pay raises, shift payments and overtime compensationIssuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to completethemDeducting tax and insurance paymentsResolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payrollmattersChanging employee bank records when necessary to process payments accuratelyInitiating direct depositsProcessing of employee expenses.Necessary Requirement:The Payroll Specialist will possess 7+ years experience, and it would be desirable that they have previous experience working in a similar organization and be familiar with complex monthly adjustments such as overtime, loss of pay, payment in leu, compensatory pay etc.Excellent Excel skills.Previous experience using HRMS portalExperience with health benefits adjustmentsFamiliar with HR relations and contracts
