Medical Officer

Job Summary Medical Officer is responsible for providing immediate medical care, first aid services, and basic healthcare support to students, faculty, and staff within the university campus and university hostel. The role focuses on emergency response, health assessment, medical guidance, and coordination with external healthcare facilities when required.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Medical & First Aid ServicesProvide prompt first aid and primary medical care in case of injuries, sudden illness, or medical emergencies on campus.Assess patients’ medical conditions and determine the need for further treatment or referral.Stabilize patients during emergencies until advanced medical support or ambulance services arrive.Emergency ManagementRespond immediately to medical emergencies, accidents, or health-related incidents.Coordinate with nearby hospitals, ambulance services, and emergency responders for critical cases.Maintain readiness for emergency situations including mass casualty or disaster scenarios.Health Monitoring & Preventive CareConduct basic health check-ups and medical consultations for students and staff as required.Provide medical advice on common illnesses, injuries, and health concerns.Support preventive healthcare initiatives such as health awareness programs and wellness activities.Medical Records & DocumentationMaintain accurate medical records, first aid logs, and incident reports as per university guidelines.Ensure confidentiality of medical information at all times.Prepare and submit medical reports when required by the university or management.Qualifications & Experience:MBBS QualificationValid medical registration with State Medical Council / NMC.2-5 Years’ ExperienceSkills & Competencies:Emergency response and clinical decision-making skills.Ability to work calmly under pressure.
