Their is one good job opportunity for Production Head with our Packaging client based in Pune.Production Head – Packaging Manufacturing Plant.Reporting To Operations Head .Job Location: Pune.Team Size Direct Reports: 8 Total Team Managed: Approx. 200 employees (operators, supervisors, engineers, contractmanpower)Role Purpose:The Production Head will be responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing operations of thepackaging plant, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, productivity improvement, cost optimization, safety compliance, and people management across multiple manufacturing functions including Printing, Lamination, Die Cutting, Folding & Gluing, Liquid Packaging, and Finishing Operations.The role requires strong exposure to carton packaging / flexible packaging / liquid packaging operations with expertise in high-speed manufacturing environments.Key Responsibilities1. Production Operations Management Lead complete plant production operations across:o Printingo Laminationo Die Cuttingo Folding & Gluingo Liquid Packagingo Finishing & Dispatch Coordination Ensure achievement of daily/monthly production plans. Drive machine utilization, capacity optimization, and throughput improvement. Monitor production KPIs including:o OEEo Productivityo Waste/Scrapo Downtimeo RM Yieldo On-Time Delivery Ensure smooth shift operations and manpower deployment.2. Team Leadership & People Management Lead a team of approximately 200 employees including operators, engineers, supervisors, andcontract manpower. Directly manage department heads/managers for:1. Printing2. Lamination3. Die Cutting4. Folding & Gluing5. Liquid Packaging6. Production Planning Coordination7. Shift Operations8. Process Excellence / Production MIS Build accountability and high-performance culture on shopfloor. Drive training, skill enhancement, succession planning, and team development. Handle manpower planning and industrial relations in coordination with HR.3. Productivity & Continuous Improvement Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Drive reduction in:o Setup timeo Rejectionso Wastageo Machine breakdown losses Improve operational efficiency and conversion cost. Lead root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.4. Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to customer quality standards and internal SOPs. Coordinate closely with QA/QC teams for:o GMPo ISOo BRC/food safety standardso Customer audits Ensure rejection control and customer complaint reduction.5. Maintenance & Engineering Coordination Work closely with Maintenance team to ensure:o Preventive maintenance adherenceo Breakdown reductiono Machine reliability improvement Support new machine installation, commissioning, and process stabilization.6. Production Planning & Delivery: Coordinate with PPC and SCM for production scheduling and dispatch adherence. Ensure customer delivery timelines are met without compromising quality. Manage bottlenecks and capacity constraints proactively.7. Safety & EHS Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and EHS norms. Drive zero-accident culture across manufacturing operations.
