The organization is committed to operational excellence, seafarer competency, safety leadership, and full regulatory compliance across its chemical tanker fleet.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent (Master Mariner) with strong expertise in Chemical Tankers, particularly in complex parceling (multi-grade cargo) operations. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient vessel operations while supporting the shipboard team and driving continuous improvement across the fleet.What Will You Do?- Ensure vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, and company standards. - Oversee chemical cargo operations, including loading, discharging, tank cleaning, and complex parceling involving multiple grades, segregation, cargo heating, and stowage compatibility. - Guide Masters and Chief Officers on cargo stowage planning, parcel sequencing, and chemical compatibility. - Conduct vessel inspections, navigational audits, safety drills, and operational readiness checks. - Monitor ship performance, fuel consumption, cargo efficiency, and voyage execution. - Oversee maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking, ensuring minimal downtime and effective cost control. - Manage and prepare vessels for SIRE/VIQ and CDI inspections, ensuring audit readiness at all times. - Investigate incidents, near-misses, and NCRs; develop corrective and preventive actions. - Liaise with charterers, terminals, agents, classification societies, and port authorities to support flawless port operations. - Ensure statutory, class, and safety certificates remain valid and updated. - Review and strengthen the Safety Management System (ISM Code compliance). - Lead crew familiarization, training, and emergency preparedness drills tailored to chemical tanker operations. - Prepare operational reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Support the commercial team by ensuring vessels remain fully compliant and ready for charter commitments.The Must-Haves- Valid Master Mariner Certificate of Competency. - Prior sailing experience as Master on Chemical Tankers (experience with parcels/multi-grade cargo handling is highly desirable). - Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, tanker operations, cargo systems, and safety frameworks. - Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide shipboard teams effectively.What’s on Offer?- Competitive compensation with performance-linked benefits. - Opportunity to play a key role in enhancing operational excellence and safety culture across a global chemical tanker fleet.Ready to take the next step?Apply now at roohi@Or contact Roohi Mehta @ +65 8725 9801 to discuss this exciting opportunity.
