Job Description (JD): Barista / Tea MakerJob Title: Barista / Tea MakerDepartment: F&B / Café / RestaurantReports To: Café Supervisor / Restaurant ManagerJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Barista / Tea Maker to prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages while ensuring excellent guest service. The candidate should have good knowledge of brewing techniques, beverage presentation, hygiene standards, and customer handling.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve coffee beverages (Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Americano, Mocha, etc.).Prepare and serve tea beverages (Masala chai, black tea, green tea, herbal tea, iced tea, etc.).Ensure proper brewing methods, taste consistency, and presentation standards.Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, tea brewers, and related equipment.Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, equipment, and beverage preparation area.Ensure stock availability of coffee beans, tea leaves, milk, sugar, syrups, and disposables.Follow proper hygiene, food safety, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP preferred).Handle customer orders politely and efficiently, ensuring quick service.Upsell menu items and recommend beverages based on customer preferences.Assist in cash handling / billing if required.Monitor and report low stock levels to the supervisor.Support team members during busy hours and maintain smooth service flow.Requirements & SkillsMinimum 1–2 years experience as Barista / Tea Maker (preferred).Knowledge of espresso machine operation and milk frothing techniques.Good understanding of tea preparation styles and brewing time/temperature.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.Basic English communication (additional languages a plus).Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.Positive attitude, teamwork, and grooming standards.EducationHigh School / Diploma (preferred)Barista certification is an advantage.
