Senior Frontend Engineer – Vue.js

About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer with deep expertise in Vue.js to join the Ecommerce Technology team at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. In this role, you will build scalable, high-performance web applications that power seamless and engaging customer experiences across our brands.You will collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Backend teams to deliver impactful features, influence frontend architecture, and elevate engineering standards. This role also provides an opportunity to mentor engineers and drive innovation using modern frameworks and AI-assisted development tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable, high-performance frontend applications using Vue.js (Vue 2/3)Own end-to-end delivery of features across key ecommerce journeys (e.g., PDP, PIP, Checkout)Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver seamless user experiencesDrive frontend architecture, best practices, and code quality standards across the teamOptimize applications for performance, accessibility, SEO, and cross-browser compatibilityConduct code reviews and provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineersContribute to codebase modernization, consolidation, and reusable component librariesLeverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Windsurf, MCP) to enhance development productivityParticipate in production support, debugging, and incident resolutionCollaborate with global teams (US & ITC) within an agile delivery modelRequired Skills & Qualifications6–10 years of experience in frontend developmentStrong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3Deep expertise in Vue.js (Vue 2/3), Vuex/Pinia, and Vue RouterExperience building component-driven architectures and design systemsStrong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and frontend-backend integrationProven experience in performance optimization and Core Web VitalsFamiliarity with modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, and BabelExperience with Git and standard branching strategiesStrong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in the ecommerce domain, especially PDP, PIP, and Checkout flowsExposure to server-side rendering frameworks (e.g., Nuxt.js)Familiarity with micro-frontend architecturesExperience with A/B testing, personalization, and analytics toolsExperience working in global or distributed teamsExposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesLeadership & Ownership ExpectationsTake end-to-end ownership of key features or modules, from design through productionDevelop deep domain expertise and act as a go-to resource (SME) in specific areasMentor team members and actively contribute to team growth and knowledge sharingProactively identify and address technical, architectural, and process challengesEnsure high standards for quality, scalability, and maintainability across deliverablehy Join WSI?Build impactful ecommerce experiences used by millions of customers worldwideOpportunity to own and influence critical frontend systems from the ITC teamWork with modern technologies, scalable architectures, and AI-driven toolsCollaborate with talented global teams in a high-performing environmentStrong culture of ownership, continuous learning, and innovation
