Company DescriptionThreatXIntel is a growing Cybersecurity, IT Staffing, and Consulting company delivering end-to-end technology and security solutions.Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Freelance Network Automation Engineer with 7+ years of experience to support large-scale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in network protocols (BGP, OSPF), network automation using Python, and hands-on experience managing large-scale distributed network environments.This role involves working on global network infrastructure, automation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of enterprise-grade systems.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Engineering & OperationsDesign, build, and manage large-scale network infrastructure in OCI environmentsHandle network lifecycle management (build, upgrade, optimization)Monitor and optimize network performance and telemetry systemsProvide break-fix support and act as escalation point for critical incidentsNetwork AutomationDevelop automation scripts using Python for network operationsAutomate configuration, monitoring, and deployment tasksCollaborate with automation teams to enhance tooling and workflowsProtocols & ArchitectureWork extensively with BGP, OSPF, and other network protocolsParticipate in network architecture and solution designEnsure scalability and reliability of global network fabricIncident & RCALead root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidentsPrepare post-mortem reports and implement preventive actionsCollaboration & LeadershipWork with vendors for bug fixes and firmware upgradesMentor junior engineers and lead small technical initiativesCoordinate with QA teams for validation of network changesRequired Skills (Mandatory)Strong experience in Network Engineering (7+ years)Hands-on expertise in BGP and OSPF protocolsExperience with Network Automation using PythonStrong knowledge of network devices and large-scale infrastructureExperience in network monitoring, telemetry, and performance tuningExpertise in root cause analysis and incident managementExperience working with network vendors and troubleshooting software issues
