Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer

Education & ExperienceFull-time B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Thermal / Fluid Engineering / Automobile / IC Engine / Energy Systems / Heat & Power Engineering from a reputed institute1–3 years of hands-on experience in CFD analysis, preferably in automotive, engine, fuel system, or thermal-flow applicationsCFD & Engineering SkillsStrong fundamentals of Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and CFD theoryAbility to perform analytical calculations using first principlesClear understanding of operating environments of components and systemsExperience defining:Analysis scope & approachBoundary conditions & acceptance criteriaAppropriate physics modelsSimulation & AnalysisHands-on experience in 3D CFD simulations, including:Flow analysisThermal analysisConjugate Heat Transfer (CHT)Geometry cleanup and meshing for complex / dirty CADSetting up:Physics modelsMaterial properties (fluid & solid)Boundary conditions, solution methods, and initializationAbility to perform sanity checks, troubleshoot convergence/numerical issues, and validate results against acceptance criteriaInterpretation of CFD results and providing practical design recommendationsTools (Mandatory)STAR-CCM+ or ANSYS Fluent (mesher + solver)ANSYS SpaceClaim / Discovery or equivalent CAD cleanup toolsWorking knowledge of MS Office (reporting & documentation)Project & CommunicationExperience interacting with customers and internal stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skillsCapability to:Prepare clear, concise technical reports and documentationManage assigned tasks independentlyMeet project timelines and delivery commitmentsGood-to-Have / Added AdvantagesDomain ExposureExperience in engine, fuel system, or engine sub-system CFD analysisKnowledge of mechanical system performance:Pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, etc.Exposure to:Multiphase flowCavitationPhase-change simulationsAdditional Tools & ProgrammingExperience or exposure to:SimericsGT-SUITEOpenFOAMBasic knowledge of C++ / Python for automation or post-processingBasic working knowledge of CreoProfessional & Leadership SkillsAbility to prepare SOPs and standardized workflowsExperience in guiding or mentoring junior engineersStrong ownership mindset and self-driven learning attitudeAbility to communicate effectively with multi-level and multi-disciplinary teamsPreferred (Not Mandatory)M.Tech backgroundFemale candidates encouraged to apply (as per diversity preference)
