Observability Engineer

Role: Observability Engineer / SRE / Platform Engineer Location: PuneExperience: 8-15 YearsMandatory Requirements • Strong hands‑on experience with OpenTelemetry (traces, metrics, logs) • Experience in implementing telemetry collectors, exporters & instrumenting applications • Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/Ubuntu) • Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation, debugging & system tasks • Understanding of distributed systems observability concepts • Experience with monitoring and visualization tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Tempo, Loki) • Good knowledge of network basics, system performance tuning and log analysis Optional / Good-to-Have Requirements • Knowledge of Python/Go for advanced automation • Exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift • Experience with ELK/EFK stacks • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Job Description • Implement OpenTelemetry-based observability solutions for applications and infrastructure • Configure and manage telemetry collectors, processors, exporters & receivers • Develop shell scripts to automate monitoring and operational workflows • Perform system-level troubleshooting on Linux platforms • Integrate telemetry with backend systems such as Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana, Elastic, etc. • Work with development & SRE teams to instrument services for end-to-end visibility • Analyze telemetry data to identify performance issues and reliability gaps • Support observability roadmap, dashboards, alerting & improvements
