About the RoleThe Manager Design position is a key role responsible for overseeing the design and development of plastic and metal products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project specifications.ResponsibilitiesConcept development, 3D & 2D maturation as per project requirementCustomer interaction to understand the requirementsPackaging studies of standard Southco products in customer applicationClose co-ordination with NPD team / Prototype analysis / root cause analysisAutomotive industry knowledge preferredAwareness of Managerial activities related to Performance analysis / skill matrix / Monthly & quarterly reports / Task alignments & executionGood experience in team management & Onsite-offshore coordinationExperience in Tactical planning, Maintain and execute open issue list (OIL), Design reviewsExcellent communication, time management skill and decision-making capabilityClose working with Suppliers / customer / NPD & Quality departmentsStrong CAD design knowledge of CATIA v5 & NX12Design reviews using the CATIA v5 & NX12Experience in Plastic / foam / Metal part design and developmentExperience in Product lifecycle from RFQ→ Launch → ProductionPractical work experience in root cause analysis & Creative Problem SolvingExcellent understanding of Product lifecycle management from scratch to production releaseInnovative thinking ability to develop new concepts in the regular work scopeSound knowledge of change management system in PLM tool like Teamcenter & Enovia VPMExperience in creation of manufacturing drawings and good knowledge of GD&TQualification & ExperienceB.E/ B.TechExperience-range (Years): 14 Years +Location: Viman Nagar, PuneRequired SkillsPlastic product designSheet metal product designPlastic & Metal manufacturing process knowledgeDFM/A, DFMEA, Tolerance analysis / stack-upEngineering Material knowledge
