Engineering Lead

THE POSITION: We are seeking a hands‑on Engineering Lead to own the technical direction, delivery quality, and engineering practices for the Patient Services – Digital Concierge product. This product is built as a React single‑page application (SPA) with an Core 6.0 edge service that integrates with upstream Salesforce and MuleSoft APIs. In this role, you will guide architectural decisions, unblock the team, and ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable delivery across all environments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by: Own end-to-end technical delivery for the React SPA and Core edge service, from design through production support. Lead architecture and design reviews; ensure decisions are documented and communicated clearly. Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, and release readiness (CI/CD, automated checks, and quality gates). Guide State Management and UI architecture (MobX-State-Tree patterns, routing, component design, styling conventions). Ensure performance and reliability across the stack (SPA performance, proxy throughput, upstream latency, caching where appropriate). Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps to plan milestones, manage technical risk, and deliver incrementally. All other duties as assigned .MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent education plus professional experience required) Experience and/or Training(8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, including leading technical projects or teams. Licenses/Certificates(e.g. trade certificates, driver’s licenses, professional certifications, etc. required) Technology/EquipmentStrong React and TypeScript experience shipping production SPAs (React 18 and React Router v6 preferred). Experience with state management patterns (MobX-State-Tree, Redux, Zustand, or similar) and building maintainable UI architectures. Strong backend experience with Core (6.0+) and RESTful API integration. Experience operating HTTP reverse proxies or API gateways (YARP, NGINX, Envoy, Azure APIM, etc.). Deep understanding of web security fundamentals (OAuth/OIDC concepts, secrets management, CORS/CSRF, secure headers, OWASP Top 10). Proficiency with automated testing and quality practices (unit/integration/e2e), plus CI/CD. Strong communication skills: able to translate business requirements into technical plans and tradeoffs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Technology/EquipmentExperience with Styled-Components and design systems (accessibility, theming, reusable components). Experience designing edge services that inject/transform requests safely (per-environment configuration, header management, request signing, etc.). Observability experience (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and production troubleshooting. Experience with healthcare, patient data, payments, or pharmacy domains (including compliance and privacy expectations). Experience with performance tuning for SPAs and .NET services (bundle sizing, caching strategies, async IO, connection pooling).
