Tech. (Mechanical) Required Skills & Experience:-Building services engineering experience from a design consultancy environment or a contractor with design & built environment.Knowledge of International Codes & Standards (ASHRAE, ICC, IMC, CIBSE, SMACNA, NFPA, UK Building Regulation, BS codes, IPC etc.). Knowledge of reading and understanding Architectural & Structural design & Drawings Must have excellent command on performing Cooling & heating Load Calculations using calculations software tools like IES VE, /Hevacomp/ Trane/Trace 3D+/ Carrier HAP etc. to provide HVAC System sizing information for different building applications. Knowledge of STABRO software will be added advantage.The candidate must be competent designing chiller solutions for buildings. The design of chillers will involve: Air- and Water-cooled chillers (primarily used), and Absorption Chillers- Chiller selection, Cooling Towers, Open / closed circuit, Condenser Water Treatment Plant, Ammonia / Lithium Bromide, etc. Confident in designing Refrigerant based VRF & DX Split HVAC Systems.Design Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems, such as Constant and Variable Air Volume (CAV/VAV). Well versed with all equipment type & their selection including AHU, FCU, Chiller, Pumps, and Cooling Towers, Fans (VFD), Heating & Cooling Coils, Humidification/Dehumidification System, Heat Recovery, Filtration, Sensors (pressure differential across filters & etc.) and BMS Controls.Duct & Fan sizing calculations, air balancing, duct material selection, insulation material selection, duct pressure drop calculations, Pressure rating, Access panel Requirements, Ancillary Devices (volume control dampers, fire dampers), Support Fixings, Anti Vibration mounts VAV/CAV boxes and air terminal devices. Capable of calculating & designing Kitchen ventilation, stairwell pressurization, car park ventilation system.Design of low-pressure hot water and chilled water system including pipe sizing pressure drop calculation, pump selection commissioning valves, pressurization & expansion vessel sizing, ETS room design. Experience in design of public health services (Plumbing Services) like water supply, sanitary & drainage, Storm water Drainage, Natural & Liquid petroleum Gas, Medical gas services etc.Experience in designing fire protection services like hydrant system, sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, inert gas suppression system using NFPA/ BS codes. Any experience with hydraulic calculations software’s will be an added advantage. Calculations, data sheets, equipment specifications, technical appraisals, reports, Candidates with knowledge about Design of Building Management Systems (BMS) including production of plant schedules operating strategies, single line diagram will be preferred. Skills required on 2D & 3D drafting tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Naviswork Engineers with experience on Autodesk Revit MEP and Autodesk Naviswork – MandatoryGood understanding of coordination between different MEPF services as well as Architectural & Structural design from engineering & spatial coordination point of view.Experience of working on Common data environments like BLUEBEAM, BIM 360, Drop Box, ProjectWise (collaborative tools to work on a model)Worked on diff. building sectors – residential, commercial, institutional (schools, colleges), healthcare (hospitals), transportation (airports, bus stations, metro stations), data centres etc.Knowledge of mostly used Mechanical Engineering design concepts, practices, & procedures.Experience with Revit /CAD modelling/drafting of HVAC, plumbing & Fire Protection services.Basic Knowledge of Project phases & deliverables requirements against each project stage.Experience in review and QA/QC of Drawings etc.Experience in preparation of BOQ, Technical Specifications & Quantity Take-offsShould have skill to manage & prioritize while working on multiple tasks.Should have ability to perform under time pressure and ready to adapt project requirement changes with a positive attitude.Should have good oral and written communication skills.Should be self-motivated, proactive, and good team player.Responsibilities :-Study the project Specification & other technical documents.Working on Multiple Projects along with timely delivery and quality.Daily project task allocation & management.Team LeadershipTracking Team Training & Competency Study the project Specification & other technical documents.Prepare Effort Estimation & List of Deliverables to be produced.Input data review & prepare RFIs for insufficient data etc.To undertake mechanical building services design in the UK, US and international projects through good understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant standards Delivery of allocated technical assignments including Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning systems, Public Health Systems, Drainage Systems and Fire Fighting SystemsTo undertake design checks and reviews before issue Design management and ensuring consistent high quality design delivery Please visit our company website for more details. and
