Quality Control & Monitoring Engineer - Hydro Power Project (300 MW) | BhutanWe are seeking an experienced Quality Control & Monitoring Engineer with strong Project Management Consultancy (PMC) background for a large-scale hydro power plant project in Bhutan.About the RoleThe Quality Control & Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction, installation, and commissioning activities meet approved quality standards, specifications, and contractual requirements for a high-capacity hydro power project.ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems for hydro power projectsReview and approve method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), quality manuals, and proceduresMonitor construction activities including civil, hydro-mechanical, electro-mechanical, and E&M worksConduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviewsEnsure compliance with contract documents, technical specifications, and international standardsIdentify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective and preventive actionsCoordinate with contractors, designers, and client representativesPrepare and submit quality reports, progress monitoring reports, and compliance documentationSupport project management team in risk mitigation related to quality and performanceAssist during testing, commissioning, and handover phasesQualificationsBachelors degree in engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical or relevant discipline)Minimum 15 years of total professional experience in hydro power projectsMandatory experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or Engineer-in-Charge rolesProven experience on hydro power plant projects of minimum 300 MW capacityStrong knowledge of hydro power construction practices, QA/QC systems, and international standardsExperience working in mountainous or remote project locations preferredExcellent coordination, documentation, and reporting skills
