This position is with one of our clients in India, who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams.Title: Senior Backup & Storage EngineerLocation: Pune (Hybrid)Experience : 10 YearsNotice Period: 15 DaysRoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Backup & Storage Engineer to manage, operate, and optimize enterprise backup and storage environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with multiple backup technologies, storage platforms, and cloud-based backup solutions.Responsibilities- Administer and support enterprise backup operations across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments. - Manage backup platforms such as NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity, Avamar, Rubrik, and other industry-standard tools. - Configure and maintain storage systems including SAN/NAS, Data Domain, Isilon, and other storage appliances. - Perform backup restores, troubleshoot failures, and ensure adherence to RPO/RTO requirements. - Support backup integrations with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). - Oversee tape library operations, storage provisioning, and capacity planning. - Maintain documentation, backup policies, and operational runbooks. - Handle ITSM processes including incident, change, and request management. - Generate daily/weekly operational and SLA compliance reports.Required Skills- Strong hands-on experience with at least two major backup tools (NetBackup/Commvault/Cohesity/Avamar/Rubrik). - Good understanding of Data Domain, MTree configuration, DD Boost, and retention management. - Experience with SAN/NAS storage systems and storage administration. - Knowledge of cloud backup concepts and integrations (Azure/AWS). - Solid troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and storage layers. - Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.Preferred Skills- Certifications in backup/storage technologies (Cohesity, Rubrik, Data Domain, NetBackup, etc.) - Azure Fundamentals or AWS Cloud Practitioner - ITIL V3/V4 Certification - Experience in scripting (PowerShell/Python) is a plus.
