Opportunity for Rool Rails Design Engineer

Design Engineer with 4–8 years of experience in roof rail design for passenger vehicles including hatchbacks and SUVs. The role involves working on roof rails in aluminum, steel, or hybrid materials using CATIA V5 . Key Responsibilities • Design and develop roof rail systems for hatchback, SUV, and passenger vehicle programs. • Ensure feasibility considering structural strength, safety, styling, and manufacturing constraints. • Check manufacturability and optimize designs for cost and durability. • Maintain packaging awareness and interface with adjacent systems (roof, body side, sealing, trim). • Prepare and review 3D/2D design documentation in CATIA V5. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (styling, BIW, trim, manufacturing). • Apply learnings from at least one or two prior vehicle program experiences.
