The teacher will integrate real-life connections to nature, society, and daily experiences to promote experiential learning.Key Responsibilities:-Plan and deliver EVS lessons based on the curriculum using interactive and activity-based learning methods.-Introduce students to basic environmental, social, and scientific concepts through observation, discussion, and projects.-Encourage experiential learning through model-making, group discussions, and gamified activities.-Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and skill development.-Promote eco-friendly habits, awareness of community, and social values in daily classroom discussions.-Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures curiosity and participation.-Maintain student records, portfolios, and reports in a systematic manner.-Integrate art, language, and math wherever possible into EVS topics (cross-curricular learning).-Organize and participate in school events such as Environmental Day, Science Week, and awareness campaigns.-Communicate with parents during PTMs and regularly update them on student progress.-Collaborate with colleagues and attend workshops for continuous professional development.Qualifications & Experience:-Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Environmental Science, Life Sciences, Education, or related fields).-B.Ed. is a bonus-Minimum 1–3 years of experience teaching EVS at the primary level.-Strong knowledge and understanding of CBSE/ SSC primary EVS curriculum.Preferred Skills:-Excellent communication and storytelling skills to simplify complex ideas.-Creativity in teaching methods, use of charts, models, and multimedia.-Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.-Ability to connect classroom learning with real-life environmental and social contexts.-Interest in sustainability, nature, and social responsibility.How to Apply:Interested candidates may email their CV and cover letter to: with the subject line: Application for Primary EVS teacher - Viman Nagar
