Job Description:
As a forward deployed DevOps engineer at LocalOps, you will be the face of our cloud operations for enterprise customers. You'll work directly with customer engineering teams during EST business hours, managing their AWS infrastructure, resolving incidents, and driving operational excellence — all backed by our Internal Developer Platform and AI-powered incident response tooling.What you'll doOwn cloud operations for enterprise customers on AWSProvide P0-P3 support during EST business hours (8am-6pm EST) with defined SLA response timesRespond to and resolve production incidents within SLA targetsHandle general DevOps tasks including infrastructure changes, deployment support, and environment managementAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using TerraformMaintain and optimize EKS clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks across customer environmentsCollaborate with customer engineering teams over MS Teams, Slack, and emailDocument runbooks, incident post-mortems, and operational playbooksWork with our AI SRE agents to accelerate incident triage and resolutionParticipate in on-call rotation for critical incident coverageRequirements3-4 years hands-on experience managing production infrastructure on AWSAt least 1 year experience working in SRE/DevOps team of a B2B/B2C SaaS production environmentStrong foundation in AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)Experience writing Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure automationExperience operating Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred)Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)Comfortable working with EST business hoursStrong communication skills — you'll be the primary point of contact for customer teamsCalm under pressure — P0 incidents require clear thinking and fast actionNice to haveExperience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry)Experience writing Helm chartsFamiliarity with incident management frameworks (PagerDuty, for eg)Prior experience in customer-facing rolesExperience with Windows workloads on EKSWhy join nowWork directly with enterprise customers — not internal tickets, real customer impactShape how LocalOps delivers managed cloud operations at scaleShape our AI SRE product (Lookout AI) before it hits the marketESOPs + path to DevOps/SRE leadership as we scale the customer baseSmall team, high ownership — your work directly impacts company revenue
