Assistant Manager

Will be responsible to work on welding simulation to understand the distortion and residual stress produce in structures and optimise the results by weld sequencing and weld joint design.About the RoleWork with product team and manufacturing team to finalise the weld sequencing to initiate production. Work with CAE Engineer to provide welding simulation residual stress output for further CAE analysis. Understand the welding joint design and manufacturing of structure by lean manufacturing for higher productivity. Minimum 4 to 6 Years of work experience with mentioned skills required. ResponsibilitiesWork on welding simulation to understand distortion and residual stress.Optimise results by weld sequencing and weld joint design.Collaborate with product and manufacturing teams to finalise weld sequencing.Provide welding simulation residual stress output for CAE analysis.Understand welding joint design and lean manufacturing for productivity.QualificationsB.E. / M.E – Mechanical / WeldingRequired SkillsIn-depth knowledge of heavy fabrication welding process and variable parameters of welding.Ability to interpret weld metallurgy and the effect of weld parameters for optimisation.Proficient experience with weld simulation software like Sysweld, etc.Able to interpret CAE results for required corrective actions.Conversant with heavy fabrication/welding process, residual stress, welding metallurgy, and weld codes and standards.Familiar with weld process documents like process qualification, welder qualification, robotic welding qualification, etc.Good communication skills both verbal and written.Preferred SkillsWelding simulationWeld distortionSysweld
